Egg Omelette for Bread

Egg Omelette is a very common and the easiest recipe to cook in less than 10 minutes. Anyone of any age can make this easy recipe. It is the best choice as a breakfast for those who don’t get enough time in the morning as many of us go out to work. I love to have egg omelette with bread or roti at least thrice a week. Eggs are rich in protein and when you add vegetables to it and serve it with bread or roti you get complete nutrition to your body which is essential in a breakfast. So, let’s make this amazingly easy recipe.

Ingredients you will need:

Eggs – 2
Onion – 1 (chopped)
Green Chillies – 1 (chopped)
Ginger – 1 inch (chopped)
Coriander Leaves – 1 tablespoon (chopped)
Salt – to taste
Mixing Bowl to blend the ingredients
Oil to cook

2_Omelette_Ingredients
Starting clockwise from eggs, onions, salt, green chilli, ginger and coriander leaves.
3_Chopped_Vegetables
Chop onions, green chilli, ginger and coriander leaves. Take salt to taste.
4_Eggs_Vegetables_Blended
Take a bowl. Break the eggs and beat them for 15 seconds and then add chopped onion, green chilli, ginger, coriander leaves and salt to taste. Mix nicely and now the mixture is ready.
5_Egg Omelette_on_Tava
Heat the tava which means a pan until medium hot. Add half a teaspoon of oil around the tava and pour the omelette mixture. Add half a teaspoon more oil around the omelette.
1_Omelette for Bread
Flip the omelette and let it cook. It is optional for you to toast the breads like in the image. You can toast them later.

You can make Omelette better by:

  • Adding turmeric to neutralize the smell of the eggs. I have tried it and I felt good. Try it and let me know;
  • Adding crushed black peppercorn instead of green chilli;
  • Beat eggs separately before and then add vegetables and mix them gently until blended.
  • Adding finely chopped garlic along with ginger.
